Tangalle ( Sinhala තංගල්ල Tangal ː ə ) is a small town in southern Sri Lanka.

The name means " protruding rock " and refers to the rocks that form the coast in the area of ​​the city, while in nähreren environment otherwise lie mainly sandy beaches.
