Tank Girl

Tank Girl is a comic book character and heroine of the eponymous British comic series. The comics were created by artist Jamie Hewlett and Alan Martin. January Grambow, employees Marcel Feige's comic lexicon, sees Tank Girl despite " bitch power in Anarchofunlook [ ... ] only a boy fantasy."

The stories about Tank Girl, which is lined with teilrasiertem skull and punk clothes outside as tough and ruthless, to their friends but certainly occurs as solidary individual play in a destroyed by meteorite desert landscape of Australia in the year is 2033. Tank Girl lives through an odyssey under a different banner - the sirens as act as Gothic band. The title character is accompanied by her friend, the kangaroo people Booga, and lives in a battle tank.

Publication and adaptations

The first publication of Tank Girl was made in 1988 in the then new British comic magazine Deadline where the comic enjoyed great popularity very quickly. This American DC imprint Vertigo published from 1995 onwards several books with the subtitles The Odyssey and Apocalypse. The publication of a German series began in April 1995 as a single-color booklet in large format by Feest Comics. A total of eight booklets were published, of which were the last two double numbers.

Tank Girl was filmed in 1995 under the same title; The title role was played by the American actress Lori Petty. For film publication of Feest Verlag was an associated comic adaptation of Peter Milligan and Andy Pritchett entitled Tank Girl - The film out.
