Geographical location

Tanna is located about 10 km south of Schleiz in a basin of Wettera, an eastern tributary of the Saale, with views of the Franconian Forest. Also parts of the Fichtelgebirge and the Thuringian Forest are visible. By some rural districts in the southern and eastern region of Saale inflow Wisenta flows.

History

North of customs Green was on the Wettera once known as Schanzgraben a castle site in the Burgstädtel.
