Tanya Donelly

Tanya Donelly (* July 14, 1966 in Newport, Rhode Iceland USA) is an American singer and guitarist. She played and sang at the Throwing Muses, The Breeders, Belly and solo.

Biography

Tanya is the stepsister Kristin Hersh, with whom she formed the band Throwing Muses. Since 1990 she has worked with Kim Deal of the Pixies in a side project called The Breeders who in 1991 but left again. She then founded the band Belly before these dissolved after two albums to henceforth carry on (since 1996) under her name alone.

She is married to the musician Dean Fisher, with whom she has two daughters.
