Taraklı

Taraklı is a town and a district of the Turkish province of Sakarya. The village is located about 40 kilometers south of the provincial capital of Adapazarı.

The district is located in the south of the province. It is bordered to the west and north Geyve, on the north by Karapürçek, on the northeast by Akyazı, on the east by the province of Bolu and on the south by the province of Bilecik. Through the village runs the road D- 160, D -650 combines the reaching from the Mediterranean to the Black Sea highway in the west with Bolu to the east. The D-150 leads from Taraklı after Geyve. The river Göynük Çayı flows from east to west through the city and the county and flows west into the Sakarya. North of it are parts of the mountain range Kapıorman Dağları, south of the Köroğlu Dağları.

Taraklı is a member of the Slow City movement, which has, among others, improving the quality of life to the goal.
