Tarokoid languages
The tarokoiden languages ( short Tarokoid ) form a subunit of Platoid languages, a branch of the Benue - Congo languages , which in turn belong to the Niger - Congo.
The four tarokoiden languages are spoken by about 300,000 people in north-eastern Nigeria, where the eponymous Tarok ( Yergam ) comprises the vast majority of speakers.
