The airport Tartu - Ülenurme (Estonian: Tartu Ülenurme Lennujaam ) is a civilian airport in Estonia. It is located 8 km south of the second largest Estonian city of Tartu at the village Ülenurme.

The Tartu airport was opened in 1946 as a medical Airport. 1981, the start and runway were expanded and opened a new terminal. Since 2005, the airport is operated by the operating company of the Tallinn airport AS Tallinna Lennujaam.

2004 saw 1,268 passengers Tartu Airport.

90 % of the revenue at the airport Tartu - Ülenurme was disputed until 2008 by the Aviation Academy Tartu (Tartu Lennukolledž ).

Airlines and destinations

The airport was to fly from Riga to August 2011 by the Latvian Air Baltic twice daily. The flights were discontinued from 1 August 2011.

Estonian Air first flew several times a week to Stockholm. Currently, however, only Tallinn is served.

Flybe Nordic operates since 2011 flights from Tartu to Helsinki - Vantaa.

Raadi airport

From 1919 to 1993, there were in Tartu another airfield, the Raadi airport. It was used until 1992 by the Soviet Air Force.
