Těchlovice (Děčín District)

Těchlovice ( German Tichlowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located ten kilometers south of the center of Decin and belongs to Okres Decin.

Geography

Těchlovice located between Ústí nad Labem and Decin in the Bohemian mountains on the right bank at the mouth of the creek Těchlovický creek. To the north rises the Vrabinec ( Sperling stone, 350 m), in the Northeast the Poklona ( 465 m), in the southeastern Stříbrný raw ( 516 m) and the Buková hora (zinc stone, 683 m ) and to the south the LICHA (462 m).

Neighboring towns are Přední Lhota in the north, Babetin in the northeast, Kouty, Rytířov and Milířsko in the east, in the southeast Pribram, Vitin and Zadnà Lhota in the south, Roztoky in the southwest, and Skrytín Maškovice in the west and Dobkovice in the northwest.

History

Těchlovice was probably founded in the 10th or 11th century as part of the Slavic settlement. The first written mention of the parish Tyechleuicz was 1360th The city was at that time the seat of the Vladiken of Tichlowitz.
