Těchonín

Těchonín ( German Linsdorf ) is a municipality in Okres Ústí nad Orlicí, Czech Republic. The place is located in the southeast of the Eagle Mountains in the Valley of the Silent Eagle ( Ticha Orlice ), about 10 km west of the city Králíky.

In Těchotín the center for biological protection is ( Centrum biologické ochrany Těchonín ), an agency of the Czech Armed Forces with special hospital for work and medical care under the highest biosafety levels BSL 3 and 4 The Center is the only medical facility of its kind in the Czech Republic.

History

Linsdorf, which belonged to the rule Geiersberg was first documented in 1514. Said in the local chronicle 1393 is not provable as first mentioned. The number of village belonged to the German settlement area and lay near the German -Czech border language. The inhabitants lived by farming and weaving house. A glass factory was abandoned. Since 1899 Linsdorf had a railway connection. In 1880 lived in Linsdorf 1,078 people in 1939, including the place of the district Neudörfel 731 inhabitants.

In the years 1945 and 1946, the German population was largely expelled and settled displaced from Eastern Slovakia Slovaks. 1960 Celné was incorporated.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the villages Těchonín Celné ( Zöllnei ) Stanovnik ( Neudörfel ) and Těchonín.
