Teho Teardo

Teho Teardo (* 1966 in Pordenone ) is an Italian musician and composer.

At age 8 he began to play the clarinet, but later turned to guitar. He was co-founder in 1990 of the rock band Meathead, which disbanded in 1997. Teardo worked with, among others, the British producer and musician Mick Harris, the American singer Lydia Lunch, Blixa Bargeld, Alexander Bălănescu and Graham Lewis of the band Wire. In 2003 he published with Scott McCloud, the singer and guitarist of the band Girls Against Boys, under the name of operator an album. Then Teardo toured with the British rock band Placebo. In 2006 he brought out the album Giorni rubati with the jazz cellist Erik Friedlander.

Teardo composed music for a number of Italian films. The directors were Paolo Sorrentino, Gabriele Salvatores and Guido Chiesa. For his composition for the film Il Divo 2009 he received the significant film award David di Donatello.
