Tengizchevroil

Tengizchevroil (Russian Тенгизшевройл ) is a petroleum company in Kazakhstan, based in Atyrau. It is a joint venture between Chevron Corporation (50 percent), ExxonMobil (25 percent), KazMunayGas ( 20 percent) and LukArco (5 percent).

Tengizchevroil was established on 6 April 1993. The company has the right to produce oil in Tengizfeld for 40 years. By 1996, the joint venture consisted only of the Chevron Corporation and KazMunayGas. Only later rose ExxonMobil and Lokarco, a joint venture between Lukoil and the Atlantic Richfield Company.

In 2009 Tengizchevroil promoted a total of 22.5 million tons of oil. Thus, it is measured at the oil flow, the largest oil company of Kazakhstan.
