Tennis at the 1896 Summer Olympics – Men's singles

Tennis men's singles of the Summer Olympics in 1896.

The finale at the Velodrome Neo Faliro denied John Pius Boland and Dionysios Kasdaglis, Boland won in straight sets. Boland was the first Olympic champion in tennis. A game for the bronze medal was not available. A total of 13 players from six nations participated in the individual competition, this took place from 8th to 11th of April.
