Terry Kinney

Terry Kinney ( born January 29, 1954 in Lincoln, Illinois ) is an American actor.

Life and achievements

Kinney graduated from Illinois State University. In 1974 he founded together with his friend, actor Gary Sinise and Jeff Perry in Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre Company.

The first film role was played by Kinney on the side of Jennifer Connelly in the comedy Seven minutes in heaven from the year 1985. In the thriller No Mercy (1986 ), he starred opposite Richard Gere and Kim Basinger, from the film drama Miles Home (1988 ) came he again starring Richard Gere on. From 1997 to 2003 he played in the television series Oz - hell behind bars the role of Tim McManus. For his role in the film drama The Laramie Project ( 2002), he was nominated in 2003 for a Golden Satellite Award. In recent years, he was mostly seen in various television series.

Kinney was married to the actress Kathryn Erbe and Elizabeth Perkins. He has three children.
