Tetsuo Okamoto

Tetsuo Okamoto ( born March 20, 1932 in Marília, São Paulo, † 1 October 2007 ) was a Brazilian swimmer Japanese descent.

In the Summer Olympics 1952, he won in the 1500 - meter freestyle swimming the bronze medal behind the American Ford Konno and the Japanese Shiro Hashizume. He was the first Brazilian swimmer, who won a medal at the Olympics. On the 400 - meter freestyle route he reached the semi-finals.
