Thai-Chinese International School

The Thai - Chinese International School ( Thai: โรงเรียน นานาชาติ ไทย - จีน, Chinese:泰国 中华 国际 学校, TCIS ) is a non-profit private school in Thailand.

The school is located in Bang Phli Muban Niwet, Amphoe ( district ) Bang Phli, Samut Prakan Province.

School Profile

The school has about 100 employees and teachers who serve approximately 900 students (as of 2009). The students are multilingual and often come from multi- cultural backgrounds, and some have more than one nationality.

The educational program begins with the prekindergarten and kindergarten and goes up to secondary (12th class). The core curriculum consists of the U.S. curriculum. Since the Thai - Chinese School has a Trilingual, students must complete at least one hour in standard Chinese and Thai also daily in addition to the English teaching material.

Training objectives

The school would like to offer a viable training program on the basis of U.S. standards that take account of Chinese, Thai and international relations. Special emphasis is placed on intellectual abilities, next to it. Intercultural competences and the training of world citizens

History

The school was founded in 1995 with the purpose of the Taiwanese enclave in Bangkok as well as other groups offer lessons in English.

After the construction of Suvarnabhumi Airport, it is located only 15 minutes from the international routes of Bangkok.
