After Rémi Gallegos former band Dying Breath had dissolved, he decided in 2009 to look for potential members for a new band to go that focus, inspired by the band The Dillinger Escape Plan, should be on mathcore. After fruitless search for new members, Gallegos began to produce with the help of his guitar and a Digital Audio Workstation own music. In December 2009 and July 2010, he published the two demo recordings The Doppler Effect and CRITICAL.ERROR which have been released for free download on its website. The end of 2010 announced Gallegos that he was working on a new EP by the name of identity, however, was never completed. In addition, he prepared himself for the first live performances.

In August 2011, published Rémi Gallego which also released for free download compilation Method_ on which the songs of the two previous demos were compiled. This was followed in October 2011 appearance on the held annually in Cologne Euro Blast Festival, where Gallego appeared alongside bands like Textures, TesseracT or Vildhjarta. A month later published Mike Malyan, Monuments drummer of the band, a drum cover of the song Isometry, which he put on the internet website YouTube. After this convinced Gallego assume that it would be possible to play the songs on a real drum, Malyan was presented as an accompaniment during live performances. In the same month signed Gallego a record contract with the British record label Basick Records.

In January 2012, Gallego released the single on Basick Records Tr0jans, which was only available digitally. It was followed by appearances on the second edition of the held in Karlsruhe Djentivals, as well as on the UK Tech - Metal Fest in London, where he performed alongside, among others, Uneven Structure and Chimp Spanner. On November 19, 2012, the band's debut album was released via Basick Records with Polymorphic code, which included seven previously unreleased songs next to the song Tr0jans.
