The Apu Trilogy

Apu Trilogy is the name of three Bengali films directed by Satyajit Ray of India from the 1950s, which are among the most important works of international film. It consists of the single films Pather Panchali (1955), Aparajito (1956) and Apur Sansar (1959). The name derives from the main character of Apu, whose life is depicted from childhood to manhood. She is played by Subir Bannerjee, Pinaki Sengupta, Smaran Ghosal and Soumitra Chatterjee.

As Template Pather Panchali the novels (1929) and Aparajito (1932 ) of Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay served. The music for these films wrote Ravi Shankar. The films produced with little cost have been presented at many international film festivals, where it also gave several awards, including three National Film Awards and awards at film festivals in Cannes and Venice.
