The Carpenters discography

This summary gives an overview of the publications of the Carpenters since 1969 and their chart success in the U.S., the UK and the German speaking countries. The U.S. pair of siblings has sold over 100 million records worldwide and had three number one hits and ten million seller in its home country. In Europe they have been most successful in the UK, where they had three number-one albums and seven top ten hits. In Germany and Austria, the Carpenters were not as successful with singles, but could at least show in 1980 with a greatest-hits album number one or two.
