The Contortionist

The Contortionist is an American progressive metal band from Indianapolis, Indiana, which was founded in 2006 under the name of Achilles Rising, is renamed a year later in At the Hands of Machines and since another name change in 2008 under its current name occurs. History

The singer Jake Morris, the guitarist Robby Baca and Cameron Maynard, as well as the bassist Christopher Tilley and drummer Joey Baca met while in high school and founded in 2006 the band Achilles Rising. After a name change in 2007 in At the Hands of Machines, the band released with Sporadic Movements their debut EP, which drove the band itself.
