Fox and the Hound (Original Title: The Fox and the Hound ), originally in Germany under the title of Fox and the Hound - Two friends posted on eight paws, is an American animated film by directors Ted Berman and Richard Rich of 1981 The Movie. is the 24th full-length animated Disney feature film and tells the story of the friendship between a fox and a dog called Cap named Capper. It is based on the novel Foxtrack history of enmity (Original Title: The Fox and the Hound ) by Daniel P. Mannix. 2006 saw the continuation of Fox and the Hound 2, which was produced directly for the video and DVD market. This plays in the childhood of the two main characters.

Action

Cap, an orphaned fox cub is raised by the Widow Tweed and friendship with Capper, a young hound. When he gets bigger, learned Capper hunting and realizes that his friend Cap is one of the prey. In addition, the hunters and the Widow Tweed is not well tolerated each other. For the protection cap is brought into a game reserve, where he fell in love with the vixen Trixie. • In the American original Fox and the Hound have different names. Cap is death and the Hound called Copper.
• For the German video release in 1995 some speakers had to again in the studio. The name Vixie was exchanged for Trixie. When DVD first released in 2001 but came back Vixie mistakenly used. The Blu -ray has now again the "correct" version, that of VHS.

Criticism

" A rather conventionally designed cartoon [ ... ] In its tranquility and closeness to nature much recalls in the film, Bambi. A pleasant, though less memorable film with the strong moral call for more understanding, peacefulness and insightful full cooperation. "
