The Fray is the second studio album of the same name American alternative rock band The Fray.
Background
In 2009, The Fray earned her second studio album, which bears the same name as the band, by the producers Aaron Johnson and Mike Flynn, who 's first album How to Save a Life already produced, out. To this end, the band turned a music video for the single " You Found Me" in Chicago.
Reception
The Fray received for their second album, some very good reviews, but also spread negative. The music magazine Rolling Stone, for example, meant for the album, that it is " nothing new " is. According to Allmusic of " the nature of the songs actually remains unchanged " and lacks the album " alleged originality." Nevertheless, there were some positive reviews, among other things of AbsolutePunk which criticized other opinions. After AbsolutePunk "that Denver has quintet released a charming, appealing record that would be far more praiseworthy if it did not sound so much like its predecessor ... it's not necessarily a bad album, if it is as its predecessor. Chart positions
In the U.S., the album went straight into the Billboard Hot 100 at # 1, after around 179,000 copies were sold in the first week, one could on 4 March 2009 to be sold in the U.S. alone 336.952 albums. In the second week, about 75,000 copies were only sold and thus the album was only # 4 on the charts in the U.S..
