The journalist (Russian Журналист ) is a film director Sergei Gerasimov of the Soviet from the year 1967. On the film festival in Moscow, he received the Grand Prize. The film consists of two parts.

Action

In the first part titled encounters Yuri travels Alyabyev, a successful journalist, from Moscow to a small town in the Urals, because a certain Anikina, a woman who lives in the city, complaining about the local authorities writes that she the revelries and the assumption accused of bribe. In the city he meets Shura Alyabyev Okajemowa, a pretty girl who works in a local factory. Attracted by shuras intelligence and beauty Alyabyev he tries to seduce her, but Shura rejects him. Alyabyev leaves his residence and travels first to Moscow, then to Paris for business reasons.

The second part ( Garden and Spring) tells Aljabjews life in Paris. There he meets Annie Girardot, visited a sample of Mireille Mathieu and has extensive discussions with an American journalist, a new friend, he tries to convince them of the advantages of the Soviet way of life. Alyabyev returns from Paris to Moscow and traveled back into the city in the Urals. He could not forget Shura and would like to make contact with her ​​again. After his arrival, he finds out that Anikina local authorities wrote letters accusing the Shura a liaison with it. The Komsomol meeting then decided Shura had to move into a dorm their factory. Alyabyev Shura is there and makes her a declaration of love. They decide to marry.
