The Pagemaster
The Pagemaster - Richie's fantastic journey (Original Title: The Pagemaster ) is an American fantasy animated film from the year 1994.
Action
Richard " Richie" Tyler is one in statistics and security amorous little boy his father to the effect disappointed that he is too scared to take with him anything. So Richie refuses vehemently to get into the tree house, which has built his father for him. He goes every risk out of the way and therefore has no friends who want to play with him. When he travels alone with the bike on the road, there will be a storm. Richie examined as soon as possible hideout and finds it in the library of Mr. Dewey, the Pagemaster. He wants to call from there with his parents. But on the way to the telephone Richie kicks to the head and faints. When he is awake at night, it does not take long before he is tracked by a color monster, which turns him into a cartoon character and sends in the cartoon world. There he meets the Pagemaster who sends him on an adventure into the world of books.
Gradually he meets talking books that call themselves Adventure, Fantasy and Horror and accompany from now. Richie himself is not interested in the adventure and only looks for the output. But horror into instead of the house of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Jekyll welcomes the guest friendly, but quickly turns into Mr. Hyde, demolished his house and tears almost with horror into the abyss. Richie stands only and can not save him, so have fantasy and adventure intervene out of sheer fear. His first courage brings Richie on only when it comes to save his own skin. But at least the output seems to be visible. So Richie follows the characters and so ends up with the three books on the sea, being witnessed by Captain Ahab how this Moby-Dick hunts. When they are then attacked himself by Moby Dick and their boat is destroyed, save a few pirates, which they bring on board the ship by Long John Silver. This captures them and brings them to an island where they suspect a huge pot of gold. It exists but not why the pirate mutiny, and advised Richie and adventure in danger. But thanks to the heroic use of horror and fantasy they can be saved. Only they now sit firmly on the island.
Fantasy notes, however, that her wand suddenly works again, so all can travel through several fairy tale worlds. Along the way they meet Humpty Dumpty before they see the saving exit sign. However, they must go through a hell, which suddenly turns into a fire-breathing dragon and all four hunts. Richie manages to escape just before the exit, but because his three books are in a trap, he takes all his courage and lying about weapons together in order to defend it against the dragon. Richie, however swallowed by it and can only thank a creeper escape again from inside the dragon. This grows up steeply, so that he and his three books finally get to the exit. There he meets the Pagemaster, who explains that he has finally overcome the fear. Then Richie wakes up in the library, borrows adventure, fantasy and horror from what he reads in the tree house, while he stayed there.
