The Sarah Jane Adventures

The Sarah Jane Adventures is a British television series and a spin-off of the popular series Doctor Who. The series was produced between 2006 and 2011 by BBC Wales for children's channel CBBC. The concept of the series is derived, as well as in the other branch of Torchwood, Russell T Davies, the creative head of the series Doctor Who. Unlike Doctor Who, which works as a classic family television, and Torchwood, which is aimed at an adult audience, The Sarah Jane Adventures was produced specifically for younger viewers.

Prehistory

The main character of the series is Sarah Jane Smith, who works as a freelance investigative journalist since the 1970s - among other things, on behalf of the magazine " Metropolitan ". A fifth was to be completed in 2011, but lead actress Elisabeth Sladen passed away in April 2011.
