The Soldier Thread

The Soldier Thread was a Indie-Rock-/Alternative-Rock-Band from Austin, Texas, USA.

History

Founded in The Soldier Thread in 2007 and consisted of the musicians Todd Abels ( background vocals, guitar, keyboards), Justin McHugh ( background vocals, keyboards, guitar ), Patricia Lynn (vocals, violin, keyboards), Drew Vandiwer (drums) and opportunity Gilmore ( bass).

Shortly after its inception, the band began to give concerts in the area of Austin. It was later followed by concerts throughout Texas. With producer Dwight Baker, the group worked on their debut album In Spades, which was published in 2010. The group was a finalist at Spin Magazine Contest " Hot Pursuit", so their music on MTV 's The Real World: Hollywood was played.

Patricia Lynn's relationship with Blue October singer Justin Furstenfeld helped her as a guest musician in their published 16 August 2011 album Any Man in America participate. There she sang a duet in the final song Follow Through.

Their song Anybody where also a native of Austin rapper Zeale is heard, played on Krox FM during the broadcast 101X.

In May 2011, the group toured for the first time at the national level. Together with the rock band Blue October was to see The Soldier Thread in Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. In November 2012, the Group announced its dissolution. Patricia Lynn and Dwight Baker formed the group The Wind and the Wave.
