The Act Springfield (English Original title: The Springfield Files) is the tenth episode of the eighth season of the American animated television series The Simpsons. Your Original Air Date was on 12 January 1997 at the Fox, the German -speaking Original Air Date was followed on 24 October 1997 on ProSieben.

The Act Springfield won a 1997 Annie Award.

Action

Leonard Nimoy begins the episode as host of a show about alien encounters. He talks about an encounter in a town called Springfield.

After Homer had been drinking on a Friday night Moe's Tavern ten bottles of "Red Tick Beer ," said Moe, that he is too drunk to drive. Homer decides to go home, get lost, however. In a clearing, he suddenly sees a glowing green shape. Although this says that he should not be afraid, Homer runs away screaming.

When he followed his family about the incident, no one believes him. However, the FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully begin after they have heard of the search, with investigations. Homer is ridiculed by most people in the neighborhood, only Bart believes him.

The next Friday night wait Bart and Homer in the forest on the supposed aliens. This actually appears and promises peace again, but Homer frightened him and he flees. Bart, however, has the whole incident on tape and they finally have a solid proof.

Shortly thereafter, Leonard Nimoy hosts wishes the audience a good night.

Although the recording on the tape is only three seconds, all start in the city - with the exception of Lisa - Homer to believe, which is why the citizens of the city next Friday to visit the forest.
