The Wizard of the Strings is an American documentary from the year 1985.
Action
The film portrays the guitarist Roy Smeck (1900-1994), who was known as "The Wizard of the Strings ." At the time of production of the film Smeck was still active, gave lessons and appeared still. His reputation was based on his virtuoso performances with guitar, banjo, ukulele and Hawaiian guitar.

At the ceremony for the Student Academy Awards Alan Edelstein and Peter Friedman were honored with a Medal of Merit.
