Théâtre Graslin

The Théâtre Graslin is an opera house in Nantes. It was built in the late 18th century by the architect Mathurin Crucy in the style of classicism and named the landowner by Jean -Louis Graslin. The opening took place on 23 March 1788. 1796 burned down the theater, but was rebuilt in the Napoleonic period again. An extensive restoration took place in 2003. The capacity of the house is 784 places today. The opera is currently operating in cooperation with the " Grand Théâtre d' Angers ". At the theater square opposite is the famous brasserie La Cigale.
