Thierry Steinmetz

Thierry Steinmetz ( born July 9, 1983 in Creutzwald, Moselle ) is a French football player in the service of F91 Dudelange.

Career

Thierry Steinmetz began his career in 2001 in the B- team of the then first division club RC Lens. In 2003 he moved to the then third division side U.S. Roye. In 2005 he moved to the fourth division U.S. Forbach. 2008 Steimetz first moved abroad and signed with the Luxembourg first division club CS Grevenmacher. After only one year, he returned to France and signed for CSO Amneville. In the winter of 2012, he moved to second division side FC Metz. His debut in professional football, he was on 6 March 2012, when he appeared as a substitute on matchday 22 against Stade Laval in 68 minutes for Yeni N'Gbakoto. On July 1, 2012, he moved to F91 Dudelange.

Leg of the third qualifying round of the Champions League

Awareness about the expert circles he was on 23 July 2012, when he scored two goals in the 3:4 defeat in the second leg of the second qualifying round of the Champions League final against Red Bull Salzburg. Since Dudelange won the first leg 1-0, handing the result Steinmetz and Dudelange to surprising progress.
