Thomas Gunst

Thomas Favor ( born July 26, 1959 in Bad Durkheim ) is a former German hockey player.

Thomas 's favor began his athletic career at Dürkheimer HC. In 1981 he moved to Turngemeinde Frankenthal, and he stayed till 1984, three times German champion 1982 in the hall. 1983 won the team championship and in the outdoors, followed in 1984, the European Champion Clubs' Cup. Favor later returned to Dürkheimer HC, he is still active hockey player.

After he became in 1979 Vice Junior World Champion, debuted the cover player in 1980 in the German national hockey team. At the World Cup 1981/1982 Favor reached with the German team in the adult class in second place. The following year, the German team took third place at the Field Hockey Championship 1983. 1984 won the team at the European Championships in indoor hockey. At the Olympic Games in 1984 favor only came in the game against the United States used the German team reached the final against Pakistan and won the silver medal. 1986 belonged favor of the winning team in the FIH Champions Trophy and 1988 he won again at the European Championships in indoor hockey. Overall, Thomas 's favor appeared from 1980 to 1988 in 70 countries with games, 24 of them in the hall. Thomas favor including at senior level for the German national team, in 2006 he won together with his old companions Heiner Dopp in Ü45 World Cup.
