Thomas McKissick Jones

Thomas McKissick Jones ( born December 16, 1816 in Person County, North Carolina; † 13 March 1892 in Pulaski, Giles County, Tennessee) was an American politician from the 19th century. He also was a member of the Freemasons and the Knights Templar.

Jones took his political career in his state House of Representatives and the Senate of Tennessee. Furthermore, it was after the secession of Tennessee from 1861 to 1862 in the Provisional Konföderiertenkongress active. After the war, he represented his country at the 1870 Constitutional Convention. After that, he was from 1872 to 1873 served as a judge in Tennessee.

Jones died in Pulaski and was subsequently buried there on the Maplewood Cemetery.

Family

Thomas, son of Wilson Jones and Rebecca ( ​​McKissack ) Jones, had a brother named Calvin (* 1810).
