Thomas Rath

Thomas Rath ( born July 26, 1970 in Schwedt / Oder ) is a former German football player. He played in both the communications and the DFB - game operation in the top division and was DFV and DFB junior national team.

Rath came in 1987 as a 17 -year-old from the Sports Association (SPA ) Chemistry PCK Schwedt to junior league team FC Vorwärts Frankfurt (Oder), the football focus of the GDR Army Sports Club forward. 2nd and 1st Bundesliga

For the 1991/92 season he joined the second division side Hertha BSC Berlin. Even with the Berliners was Rath 1 Gameday at the starting eleven. Because of a damaged Achilles tendon he was in late 1999 at the age of 29 years to the sport disability.
