Tie Cup
The Copa de Competencia also often called " Copa Competencia Chevallier Boutell " Copa Competencia Rioplatense, Cup Tie Competition or "tie- Cup " refers, was a bilateral football club competition, which has been played since 1900, each year between the clubs from Argentina and Uruguay. Was donated the event of Francis Hepburn Chevallier Boutell, president of the Argentine Association Football League ( AAFL ).
Between 1900 and 1906 a total of four teams were allowed to start: Two semi-finalists from the AAFL ( but always play according to the rules in the semi-finals had away ) as well as one semi-finalist from the Uruguay Football Association League and the Federación de Football Rosarina. The finale, which could also be a purely Argentine, always took place in Buenos Aires, during the semi-finals were held in Montevideo and Rosario. 1907 one changed the rules. The Argentine representative was henceforth identified in the " Copa de Competencia Jockey Club".
