Timbuk2 ( spoken like engl. " Timbuk Two" or German " Timbuktu ") is a U.S. company in San Francisco, which was known for bicycle couriers primarily through the production of bags.

Timbuk2 was founded in 1989 by former bike messenger Rob Honeycutt, the sewed bags for bike messengers in his apartment. The name of the company was first Scumbags, but was changed in 1990 in Timbuk2. On the choice of name and the name of the band Timbuk 3 is said to have had an impact.
