Tincry
Tincry is a commune with 171 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Château- Salins and Canton Delme.
Geography
Tincry located in Saulnois, about 30 kilometers southeast of Metz at an altitude 226-378 m above sea level. The municipality covers 8.47 km ².
History
The town was first mentioned as 950 Tinkaracha. Other spellings were: Tinkirchen ( 1421 ), Tinker Ingen ( 1460 ).
The village belongs since 1661 to France and wore the Germanized name Dinkrich 1915-18 or 1940-44 Dinkirchen.
