Monopis obviella

The Real moths ( Tineidae ) are a family of butterflies (Lepidoptera ).

Features

The adults are rather small to medium in size and have narrow, befranste wings. Their proboscis is stunted. The caterpillars live in web tubes, in which also takes place to pupate. Some of them are major pests of supplies and other materials in the human environment. Known representative is the clothes moth ( Tineola bisselliella ).
