Production and representation

Stannous fluoride may be represented by the reaction of tin, tin (II ) oxide or tin ( IV) oxide with hydrofluoric acid.

Use

In low concentration stannous fluoride alone or with amine fluoride used in toothpaste as fluoride supplier and Plaquereduzierer ( ATC code: A01AA04 ).
