Tjeldsund

Tjeldsundet ( North Sami Dielddanuorri ) is a Norwegian municipality with about 1300 inhabitants. The center of the municipality is the place Hol. The total area of the municipality is 318 km ².
The name of the municipality derives from Tjeldsundet Strait, which separates the two islands Tjeldøya and Hinnøya.
The municipality is located Norges Brannskole ( NBSK ), a training center for firefighters with boarding facilities.
