Tom McRae

Tom McRae (born 1969 in Essex as Jeremy Thomas McRae Blackall ) is a British singer and songwriter.

Biography

The son of a pastor couple of the Anglican Church was born on March 19, 1969 in Essex, and grew up in Chelmsford. McRae sang in the church choir and as a teenager he borrowed like his mother's guitar. First, he tried to replay his heroes: Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Neil Young, Kate Bush and U2. Then he began to write his own songs and also to develop his own style. At 18, he then went to the London Guildhall University to study politics. Soon he began to play in bands. Other Projects

McRae contributed music for the soundtracks of the films Uno ( 2004) and Unsuitable (2005), and his music was heard in the film The Bubble of Gal Uchovsky. He also took a very melancholy cover version of Wonderful Christmas Time for the Christmas CD: on Maybe This Christmas Tree, which was produced in 2004.

In August 2005, McRae visited Nigeria (Africa) on demand from The Observer and wrote an article about the famine.

Lipstick, a single by Wills and the Willing appeared on 7 July 2008. McRae drove the song at the places he had added, after he had first heard the original, which was written in connection with the London attacks.
