Professional Steurer is stationed as a soldier in the Bundeswehr Medical Service at the site Kempten. He is a trained army mountain guide. The passionate alpine athlete is a member of the DAV section Oberstaufen and in the German national ski mountaineering. At the age of 17, he climbed the Eiger North Face and was one of the youngest climbers.
