Tony Mortimer

Anthony Michael Mortimer ( born October 21, 1970) is a member and main songwriter of the British boy band East 17, with whom he had between 1992 and 1997 seven top 5 singles and four hit albums. He devoted himself completely to the songwriting as the band broke up in 1997.

Meanwhile played Mortimer in the band Subzero, which he founded with the Scottish singer JJ Gilmour Jinky (Ex - The Silencers ) and two other friends. Only one album was recorded and decided the members of this project was not suitable and dissolved the band. Gilmour went on as little successful solo artist.

In 1998, the former East 17 band members for a short period closed without him back together and released two singles under the name E17. However, they broke away in 1999 again.

Since 1997, Mortimer worked as a producer in his studio in Essex.

In 2010 it was announced that East would work 17 back together, but without Brian Harvey.

On June 16, 2013 appeared on FOD Records Mortimer's first solo album Songs from the Suitcase. The first single called Shake It down and received excellent reviews. It was followed by a promotional tour of the UK and Germany. The duet Rain in England with Julian Lennon was published on 1 September 2013. A live tour has been announced for the end of 2013.
