Tornik (Ljubovija)

Tornik (Cyrillic: Торник ) is a village in western Serbia, near the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Geography and population

The village lies in the Opština Ljubovija, in Okrug Mačva. The place had in the census of 2002 168 inhabitants, while there were 1991 221 inhabitants. After the last three population statistics, the population of Tornik to fall. The population set to 99 % Serbian Orthodox Serbs. In addition, a Yugoslav lives in the village. Tornik consists of 52 households.

East of Tornik is the 1272 m high mountain Tornička Bobija. The village lies east of the Drina and the municipal capital Ljubovija.
