Totora Municipality

The municipality Totora is a district in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location in near space

The municipality Totora is one of six Municipalities of the province of Carrasco. It is bordered on the northwest by the province Tiraque, on the west by the municipality of Pocona, to the south by the province Campero, on the east by the municipality of Pojo, and to the north by the municipality of Chimoré.

The central location of the municipality is Totora with 1,597 inhabitants in the southern part of the municipality. (2001)

Geography

The municipality Totora lies between the mountain ranges of the Cordillera Oriental to the west and the Cordillera Central in the east. The climate is characterized by year-round moderate temperatures and low rainfall (see climate chart ).
