Tottori Prefecture

The Tottori Prefecture (Japanese鸟取 県, Tottori - ken) is a prefecture of Japan, the smallest by population. It is located in the Chūgoku region on the main island Honshu of Japan. Seat of the prefectural government is the city of Tottori.

Tottori governor since 2007, Shinji Hirai, he was confirmed in the unified regional elections in April 2011 for a second term.
