Toyoyama (Aichi)

Toyoyama (Japanese豊 山 町, -chō ) is a Japanese community in Aichi Prefecture in the district Nishikasugai. Toyoyama is located north of Nagoya. Approximately one- third of the area occupied by the Nagoya airport.

Geography

The church is of the rivers Ōyama -gawa (大 山川) and Kutaraki -gawa (久 田 良 木 川) is removed.

History

1906 merge the villages Toyobo (豊 场 村, -mura ) and Aoyama (青山 村, -mura ) to the village Toyoyama. This will get 1972 the status of a small town ( chō ).

On 7 July 2005, the small towns Nishibiwajima, Kiyosu and Shinkawa merged to form the new city Kiyosu. On 20 March 2006 continued fused the small towns and Shikatsu Nishiharu to the city Kitanagoya. As a result, remained only the small towns and Kasuga Toyoyama in the county Nishikasugai. Finally, since also Kasuga was incorporated into the city Kiyosu on 1 October 2009, Toyoyama is the only municipality in the county, as well as the smallest area of ​​community in Aichi Prefecture.

In the community there is a middle school and three elementary schools.
