Transmetal (band)

Transmetal is a Mexican thrash metal band from Yurecuaro, which was founded in 1987 under the name Temple de Acero. The band has already appeared along with groups such as Slayer, Sodom, Kreator, Death, Malevolent Creation, Sepultura, Demolition Hammer, Obituary, Destruction, Devastation, Sacred Reich, Napalm Death, Dark Angel, Nuclear Assault, Testament, Morbid Angel, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Overkill, Sadus, and Monstrosity Unleashed on.

History

The band was founded under the name Temple de Acero in January 1987 by brothers Juan Partida Bravo ( electric guitar ), Lorenzo Partida Bravo ( electric bass) and Javier Partida Bravo (drums). In 1988, the debut album Muerto en la Cruz, followed by guitarist and vocalist Alberto Pimentel was heard appeared. The album was produced by Eric Meyer ( Dark Angel ). In 1990 the second album Sepelio en el Mar joined before Pimentel left the band and the band Leprosy (then under the name Leprossy ) founded. As a new singer Alejandro González joined the band, after which Juan Carlos Camarena joined the band as a guitarist and also as a singer. In 1991, a tour followed by Mexico with Sacred Reich, Napalm Death and Sepultura. In May 1992, the band appeared on the Mexican Mosh Festival along with Sick of It All, Deicide and Nuclear Assault. In the same year González Camarena and again left the band, so Pimentel returned as a singer. In October, a tour followed by Mexico with Mortuary and Inquisidor. In March 1993, the group met again on the Mexican Mosh Festival, where groups such as Monstrosity, Kreator and Overkill played. In June 1994, the band performed in Spain on the Monstruos de Rock along with Rata Blanca del Infierno and Angeles. Pimentel also came out again, to devote himself again Leprosy. As a new singer Arturo Huizar was added before singer Mauricio Torres and guitarist Ernesto Torres came in February 1998 the band. After the album Tristeza de Lucifer had been published, a tour joined by South America. In subsequent years, the post of singer and guitarist changed several times and the band released more albums.

Style

The band is one of the most important representatives of the Mexican thrash metal scene, the singing is marked in the English-speaking songs mainly by the strong accent.
