Traubach-le-Bas
Traubach -le- Bas is an Alsatian village with 508 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the French department of Haut-Rhin. It belongs to the district Altkirch and thence to Canton Dannemarie. The municipality is one of 33 members of the Association of Municipalities Porte d' Alsace ( CCPA ).
Geography
The community Traubach -le- Bas in the field of Burgundian gate is between Belfort and Mulhouse, in the extreme southwest of the Alsace region. Through the municipal area flows the Traubach which drains via the Largue to Ill and thus belongs to the catchment area of the Rhine.
Neighboring communities of Traubach -le- Bas are Traubach -le-Haut in the north, Buethwiller in the east, Wolfersdorf in the south, southwest, and Bréchaumont Elbach in the west.
