Trebaseleghe
Trebaseleghe is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 12,731 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the Province of Padua in Veneto. The community is located about 25 kilometers northwest of Venice and about 25 km northeast of Padua. Trebaseleghe directly borders the provinces of Venice and Treviso.
History
In a bull of Pope Eugene III. was first documented in the village. The strategic location led in the early 16th century ( 1509 ) to fight for supremacy in the region between the Republic of Venice and the League of Cambrai.
Traffic
Through the municipal area, the Strada Regionale Castellana 245 runs from Mestre to Bassano del Grappa. A small station is (since 2005) on the railway line Trento-Venice.
