Treiten

Treiten (French Treiteron ) is a municipality in the administrative district in the canton of Bern Seeland in Switzerland.

Treiten is a so-called mixed community. Our own parish does not exist.

Geography

Treiten is in the Great Marsh, a particularly fertile area with almost black soil in the Berner Seeland. The neighboring communities of north clockwise are starting Finsterhennen, Kallnach, Kerzers, Müntschemier and Brüttelen.

The voter shares of the parties at the national elections of 2011 were: SVP 43.2 %, BDP 28.2 %, SP 6.5 %, EPP 4.8 %, GPS 4.6 %, FDP 4.4 %, EDU 4.1 %, Alps Parliament 1.7 %, glp 0.9 %, CVP 0.1%.
