History
The company was founded in 1994 as a startup company by Johnny Monsarrat with fellow students in his mother's house. At this time, the company still operated as a turbine entertainment software. After the company had briefly related offices in Providence, the company's headquarters were eventually moved to Westwood. The first title of the studio was the MMORPG Asheron 's Call. Since 2005 the company has operated as a turbine. On 20 April 2010 the turbine was taken over by the U.S. media group Time Warner for $ 160 million dollars and has been part of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
